As a not-for-profit organisation, we also offer salary packaging, helping you boost your take-home pay by reducing the tax you pay on everyday expenses.
Up to $15,900 per year ($611.54 per fortnight) for everyday expenses like mortgage, rent, groceries, petrol, and insurance.
Up to $2,650 per year for entertainment expenses - meals out, taxis, holiday accommodation, and car hire.
Personal or work parking fees (with no dollar limit) - plus, most of our aged care facilities offer free parking for employees.
Additional benefits if you live in a remote area.

The fortnightly benefit from salary packaging is an extra $196.00 in your take home pay. This is because you can salary package items before paying tax, therefore reducing the amount of tax you pay. To earn the same amount in an organisation that doesn’t offer salary packaging, you would need to be paid an hourly rate of $59.58.

With 60+ hours of professional development, you’ll gain valuable experience while earning Continuing Professional Development points to advance your career.

You can earn a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or a Certificate IV in Community Services. If you pursue a Degree in Nursing, we can support you with flexible work options and study leave.
If you’re a RN from Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, the UK, or the USA, your qualifications are more likely to be recognised by AHPRA, making it easier to work in Australia. Simply apply for registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
If you're from another country, your qualifications may still be eligible, but the registration process can take time. You’ll need AHPRA approval before applying for a nursing role at Uniting. While you wait, we may have other opportunities for you to join our team.
