Uniting Doorways for Youth: Dubbo

Are you aged 16–24 and homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless?

We can assist you with finding accommodation, keeping your current housing, and connecting you with support services in the Dubbo region.

Are you homeless or at risk of being homeless?

Homelessness doesn’t just mean sleeping on the streets. You might be couch surfing or facing an uncertain future in your current house.

Get in touch if you are:

  • Sleeping in your car, on the street or in public places
  • Crashing on your friend’s sofa and not sure how long you can stay or where you will go next
  • Living in a home that is too small to comfortably fit everyone
  • Bouncing between crisis and temporary accommodation options
  • Feeling unsafe, stressed or unwelcome at your home
  • Having trouble, with your mental health or a relationship, or worried about how you will pay rent.

We’ll listen carefully to your personal experience, and get you the support you need.

How we help.

Whether you are single, a couple, have young children, or are about to become a mother, we’ll support you in working towards an independent, safe, and more stable future.

Our services are free and confidential.

Finding accommodation

We can help you to access crisis, transitional, or longer-term accommodation.

Maintaining your current housing

Reach out to us and we can help you to keep your current housing and avoid homelessness. For example, we work closely with real estate agents and housing providers, and can help to ensure you have the relevant skills, contacts and resources to stay in your current place.

Other support services

Are there underlying issues that are contributing to your housing security? We can connect you to support services for:

  • Financial and legal matters
  • Employment, training or study options
  • Physical and mental health challenges
  • Family issues
  • Domestic violence.

Am I eligible?

You may be able to access this service if you are:

  • 16–24 years old
  • Concerned about your housing situation
  • Living (or want to live) in the Dubbo region.
